Actors in Rope pump technology
_
DEVELOPMENT - PRODUCTION - IMPLEMENTATION
AKVO
Has a wikipedia for water and sanitation and specific information about Rope pumps.
BOMESA (Bombas de Mecate SA)
The largest company in Nicaragua that produces hand Rope pumps for community and family level. BOMESA is supported by a Dutch specialist (Henk Alberts o.a. financed by ICCO-PSO) and cooperates with the Nicaraguan water Institute (INAA) and the Swiss development organization COSUDE/SKAT.

With assistance of the PRACTICA foundation, AMEC also developed other low-cost technologies like: water storage, low pressure drip irrigation, manual well drilling in hard clay and rock layers and a small wind generator for battery charging.
Demonstration field of AMEC with 12 different Rope pump models
TECHNOLOGY TRANSFER - TECHNICAL INFORMATION
SMART Centres
The SMART Centres in Tanzania and Malawi are working in the dissemination and development of water and sanitation technologies including options that are affordable for poor rural families. Essential in the dissemination is the involvement of the local private sector. SMART Centres are advised by Henk Holtslag specialist in Rope pump technologies with 23 years of experience in development, production, and hands on training in 15 different countries.
Other people involved in Rope pumps
